This module looks in detail at issues faced by health and community care professionals when caring for those living with NMDs. It covers the multi-disciplinary care team, the case management practitoner and other health and community care professionals.

It contains three sessions which explore the philosophy of the person-centred approach and the multi-disciplinary care team. Information, resources and support strategies available to health and community care professionals are reviewed. Best practice case management and the barriers to this in relation to NMDs are looked at, as well as strategies when caring for those with NMDs.The sessions also review services and equipment which may be required by those with NMDs.
